VCE Product Design and Technology Teacher

Are you passionate about Product Design Technology? We’d like to talk to you. 

We are looking for a motivated, professional Product Design and Technology educator to join us in Term 1, 2020. The successful candidate will be an energiser, able to positively influence the work of colleagues and students.

The successful applicant will:

  • effectively build trusting relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  • be an exemplary and innovative classroom practitioner who takes a creative approach to teaching and demonstrates passion for the design process
  • have experience in teaching VCE Product Design Technology
  • design and deliver an engaging and broad curriculum
  • effectively manage OHS requirements
  • demonstrate enthusiasm working with technology while adapting to innovative practices
  • demonstrate a reflective approach to their own practice and a proactive interest in their professional growth as a teacher
  • relish the opportunity to run a well-resourced workshop, including laser cutter and 3D printing
  • possess the ability to teach Art and Visual Communication and Design to VCE students.

This is a full-time, ongoing position to commence in Term 1, 2020.

Please note that all academic staff are required to contribute to our extensive pastoral care and co-curricular programs.

The successful applicant will:

  • be experienced in curriculum development and design

Learning Support Assistant

Part-time, 33.5 hours over 5 days per week, fixed term commencing in Term 4, 2019

Peninsula Grammar seeks to appoint an experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide direct and timely specialist assistance to relevant students in the classroom.  You may also be required to facilitate the delivery of specific Literacy and Numeracy programs, with a dominate focus on Numeracy Years 7-9. The role will work co-operatively, under the direction of the Head of the Department of Learning Support to provide a supportive, well-organised learning environment in which students are encouraged to achieve to their fullest potential. The Learning Assistant may be, on occasions, required to work with students from Kinder through to Year 12, with a focus on particular year levels within that range.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience as an Integration Aide or learning support qualifications
  • Experience in implementing learning support strategies that enhance student growth
  • Detailed understanding of the NCCD requirements as they relate to individual learning plans and student adjustments
  • Commitment to the core values of the School; with an emphasis on integrity and personal excellence
  • A collaborative approach and participate in the broader life of the School
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working with Children Check.
